Dyann Woody is in her 17th school year working with STARS.  Prior to moving to Nashville, she had been a counselor at Stockton State Hospital and Westwood Psychiatric Hopital in California and she ran a Youth Group Home and worked at a Youth Counseling Center In Colorado.  She has her BA in Music Therapy and is a licensed minister.  She and her husband Michael are Recording Artists THE WOODYS and they have their own church in Brentwood.
 
 
       
 
                     

 

Delaina Andrews is the Core Team Leader for STARS.  She is also working with the Student Executive Council of STARS.  She has her BS in Interior Design from MTSU and her M.Ed. Elementary Educ. from Vanderbilt.  This is her 5th year teaching and 3rd year as CT Leader.

 
 
 
 
 
 
Mary Farrell has been a Guidance Counselor and an intregral part of STARS longer than any of us!  She is who we turn to for wisdom, guidance and history of our program, school and families in Williamson County.  In addition to her educational and counseling degrees she has her PHD in experience!!
 
 
 
 
 
 
Robin Anderson has her M.Ed. in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University.  This is her fourth year as a school counselor. I started at GMS in August 2005.
I like singing, reading, traveling, playing team sports, coaching basketball, playing frisbee with my dog, going to the movies, and eating popcorn
 
 
 
Joseph Gross

Joe is our new guidance counselor at GMS.  He has worked for family services and in crises management.  He is also a talented musician having performed and composed original jazz music on the trumpet.

 

 
 
 
 
 
Jennifer Keith

 

I have a BS in Elementary Education with a Minor in Theatre.

This is my 7th year teaching, 6th year at GMS, and 7th year on STARS Core Team.  I also served on the Teens N Touch panel at Franklin High School as a Peer Leader and Educator.  I teach drama at GMS and love the creative arts      

 

 

 

 

Ashley Yelton began teaching in 2006 and was excited to come back to GMS at that time to teach visual art. I received my BFA in Art Education and Studio Art, with a concentration in ceramics, and my MS in Teacher Education, with a concentration in Art Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I am also very passionate about dance and have a minor in Dance Performance and Pedagogy. This is my third year to serve on the STARS Core Team. I also currently coach the dance team.

 

 
Holly McAllister (Big Mac)
 My degree is in Physical Education K-12 and I have been teaching for 19 years.   I used to be at Fairview Middle School.  I have been a STARS Core Team Member for 16 years.  I currently coach girls track and cross country.

 

 

 

 
 
Jerry Clarke is just plain "cool".  He has been head of the Media Tech department and a great supporter of STARS over the years.  He supervises the students that present the STARS Moment over WGMS every Wednesday.  He has got GREAT taste in music and is a promoter of Jazz.
 
 
 
 
 
Tammi Miller 

Has a BS in Medical Technology.  After 14 years of laboratory work, she went back to school to receive her teaching certifications for   1-8 Elementary and 7-12 Biology.  She returned to school again, and recently finished her MA in Learning and Teaching at Lipscomb University.  She has been teaching for 11 years, 6 of those years at GMS in eighth grade science.

 
 
Barbara Carpenter  
 
Bachelor's Degree from UT Knoxville in secondary English education and a Master's from Trevecca in educational leadership.  She started teaching in 1987 at Fairview High school has been core team member at Fairview High, Woodland Middle, and Grassland.
 
 
 
 
 
 
JENNIFER GILES

JENNIFER WAYMAN
 We are also happy to have Jennifer as our 6th grade representative for STARS.  She hasa BS in Elementary Education (K-8).  She is currently working on her M.Ed. at MTSU in Administration and Supervision.  she will finish in December!  This is my 3rd  year teaching at GMS, and 1st year on STARS Core Team. She is also one of the sponsors of the ping pong club here at GMS.  She enjoys reading, camping, going to the lake, watching movies, and running.

 
  
 
JESSICA RICHARDS
 
We are delighted to have our very own SRO officer on the STARS Core Team.  Jessica teaches DARE and works with us planning prevention activities and helping with intervention with some of our students.  She has also been a successful singer and beauty queen - wow.  What a combination of tough and tender!
